In this regard we are committed to protecting and safeguarding your privacy as far as is reasonably possible. If the practices described in this Privacy Notice document are not acceptable to you, then please refrain from providing us with information about yourself. This Privacy Notice (Policy) should be read in conjunction with our Terms and Conditions, which is located on the Site or you can access it by simply clicking on the following link . In the event that any term or provision in our Terms and Conditions or Privacy Notice shall for any reason be held invalid or unenforceable, then the remaining terms and provisions herein shall remain in full force and effect.


Following is a list of the types of information that we could potentially collect from you and a description of how we use it:

1. Personal Information:
In addition to Non-Personal Information, our Site will also collect and maintain certain Personal Information provided by our users, which refers to information that relates to an identified or identifiable person. The amount of information that is provided by our users, is completely voluntary. However, by providing less information might limit a user’s ability to access all of the Site’s features. Such personal information includes information that informs us who you are and describes specific things about you:

c. Khula newsletter and marketing material:
We may also use your personal information to provide you with our monthly Khula newsletter or occasionally other marketing materials that coincide with your preferences. You may customise these marketing preferences or inform us if you do not wish to receive any of these anymore, by simply using the opt out feature at the bottom of any e-mail you receive from us or by sending your request to If you receive a text message from us that contains promotional information, you can opt out of receiving future text massages by replying “STOP” or by sending your request to

d. Registration:
When you register to shop online as a client or to download SALDaTI content via the Site and/or an Application, we will collect personal information from you. Such information might include your first name, last name, e-mail address, organisation name and telephone number. Your e-mail address will be required to register on our Site and you need to select your own password. Both these pieces of information are required to log into specific areas of the Site.

e. Ordering:
When you place an order for products or services, we collect personal information. Such information might include your first name, last name, e-mail address, organisation name, telephone number, billing information and credit card details. We use this information to deliver your order, to process payment and to communicate with you with regard to the status of your order.

f. Credit card storage:
Credit card information collected for orders is transmitted over a secure connection and is used only to process payment for the transaction. It is not stored or retained on our Site.

g. Your e-mail address:
We may use your e-mail address to send the following types of electronic messages:

  • Account service information – These e-mail service notifications will relate to your account of products and services in which you are enrolled. These include e-mails that provide account information, answer questions relating to a product or service, facilitate or confirm a sale or fulfil legal or regulatory disclosure requirements.
  • Scheduled E-mail Newsletters – We may send you e-mails relating to our products and services in which you are enrolled or our Khula newsletter, which you have elected to receive.
  • Updates and offers – We may send you updates and offers relating to our products and services.
  • Optional messages – You may also choose to receive other types of e-mail messages from us, which include additional alerts and notifications beyond those noted previously.

2. Cookies:
Cookies are small data files that are transferred to your computer’s hard drive, which allows our Site to respond to you as an individual. It gathers and remembers information about your preferences in order to tailor its operation to your individual needs, likes, dislikes, and it saves you from having to re-enter information that you have already provided. Cookies also enable an Internet Retailer like SALDaTI to keep track of a consumer’s electronic “shopping cart” before completing a purchase. Our Site uses cookies to enhance the Site’s functionality. Most web browsers are initially designed to accept cookies. You can reset your web browser though to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. Please note however, that certain features of the Site might not function if you disable or delete cookies.

Cookies are safe and they only identify your computer to customise your web experience. The Site’s cookies do not and cannot penetrate a user’s hard drive to collect any information stored on this hard drive. We do not use “surveillance cookies” that track your activity elsewhere on the web.

3. Usage and analytics information:
In operating this Site, we also collect information, other than personal information. This includes usage information, which is used to assess how users access and utilise the Site. This information is valuable to SALDaTI for various internal purposes, including troubleshooting, measuring aggregate traffic patterns, understanding our user demographics, gauging user interests and improving our Site’s functionality. The information that we collect in this regard typically includes the Uniform Resource Locator (URL) of the website that referred you to us, your Internet Protocol (IP) address, your type of web browser or operating system, viewed pages, time and duration of visits to our Site, and other information relating to Site usage.

Our web server accumulates this information to monitor the level of activity and evaluate its effectiveness. This assists us in improving our content to make your visit to our Site an easy and enjoyable experience. We may collect, compile, store, publish, promote, report or otherwise disclose or use this sundry information, provided that such information does not personally identify you. We do not correlate any personal information with this sundry information that we collect.

4. Links to other websites:
Our Site might provide links to third-party websites, which is purely for your convenience and information. If you use these links, you may leave our Site. As a result, this Privacy Notice does not cover the information practices of those websites that are linked to our Site. We also do not control their website content and privacy policies. We therefore suggest that you carefully familiarise yourself with the privacy policies of each of the sites that you visit.

5. Children’s privacy protection:
We take special care to protect the privacy needs of children and encourage parents to be an active participant in their children’s online activities. The United Nations defines “Youth” as those persons between the ages of 15 and 24 years. Our free Youth Leadership programmes are aimed at these persons and has the sole intention of equipping them with information and learning experiences that would make them better leaders – for their sake and for the sake of society in general.

Our Site and/or our Applications do not target and are not intended for children under the age of 15 years. We will therefore not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 15 years. Having said this, we believe that all the content on our Site is not only constructive and non-discriminating, but it should also be morally and ethically acceptable to everyone in society.


Any personal information that you provide to us will be stored in our database in South Africa. As a general policy we use personal information and message data only for internal purposes. Other than what is disclosed in this Privacy Notice we do not sell, trade, rent or otherwise retransmit any personal information which we collect online, unless we have your permission to do so. Where absolutely necessary, we will though make this personal information available if it is required to do so, in order to make the products that you procured from us available to you.  Personal information might also be used for routine follow-ups in order to assess client satisfaction or for periodic general announcements to users of our Site.

SALDaTI might need to use personal information of users in connection with website maintenance, upgrades, new releases or analytics information review or compilation. We will be required to share user personal information with any third-party service providers that we might engage with to assist us in these efforts. On a very limited basis and at our discretion we also might have to share user information in connection with third-party marketing or advertising services to the Leadership Development and Training industry. In these limited instances we will ensure that these service providers employ adequate security measures with respect to user Private Information. We might also from time to time share personal information with our affiliated entities. Furthermore, if we participate in a merger or acquisition, we will be required to share user personal information with the purchaser or surviving entity.
The storage of all user personal information is subject to the laws of South Africa. From time to time we may be required to provide personal information in response to a court order, subpoena or government investigation. We also reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we in good faith believe to be unlawful. We may release personal information when we believe that such release is reasonably necessary to enforce or apply our Terms and Conditions or to protect the rights, property and safety of others.


We take reasonable measures to ensure that any user personal information that we collect, is accurate, current and reliable for its intended use. If you wish to update, change or otherwise correct the personal information that you have provided us or if you would like us to disable your account, please send this updated information to
